Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using our pet care services, website, or facilities located at 742 Evergreen Terrace, Springfield, IL 62704, USA, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Happy Companions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services or use our facilities.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Services Description
Happy Companions provides comprehensive pet care services including but not limited to veterinary examinations, vaccinations, surgical procedures, grooming, training, boarding, nutrition counseling, and emergency care for various domestic animals including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, hamsters, and aquarium fish. All services are performed by licensed professionals in accordance with industry standards and local regulations.
Service availability may vary based on staff availability, facility capacity, and the specific needs of your pet. We reserve the right to refuse service if we determine that providing care would be unsafe for your pet, our staff, or other animals in our facility. Emergency services are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
User Responsibilities
As a client of Happy Companions, you are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about your pet's medical history, behavioral issues, dietary requirements, and any other relevant information that may affect the care we provide. You must disclose all known allergies, medical conditions, medications, and previous treatments your pet has received.
You agree to maintain current contact information with our facility and respond promptly to communications regarding your pet's care. You are responsible for keeping your pet's vaccinations up to date and providing documentation as required. You must inform us immediately of any changes in your pet's health status or behavior that may affect the services we provide.
Appointment and Cancellation Policy
Appointments must be scheduled in advance by contacting our facility at +1 (217) 555-8437 or via email at [email protected]. We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or missed appointments without notification may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service cost.
For boarding services, we require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations. Failure to pick up your pet at the scheduled time may result in additional boarding charges. In cases where pets are not retrieved within 7 days of the scheduled pickup time and we are unable to contact you, we reserve the right to take appropriate action in accordance with local animal welfare regulations.
Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards. For boarding and extended care services, a deposit may be required at the time of booking. Returned checks or failed payment transactions will incur a processing fee of $35.
Prices for services are subject to change without notice. Current pricing will be provided at the time of booking. If you have questions about charges or billing, please contact our administrative staff. Unpaid balances may be subject to collection proceedings, and you agree to pay all costs associated with collection, including reasonable attorney fees.
Liability and Insurance
While we take every precaution to ensure the safety and wellbeing of pets in our care, you acknowledge that veterinary care and animal handling involve inherent risks. Happy Companions maintains professional liability insurance and takes reasonable measures to minimize risks, but we cannot guarantee outcomes for medical treatments or behavioral interventions.
You agree to hold Happy Companions, its owners, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from services provided to your pet, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. We strongly recommend maintaining pet insurance to help cover unexpected medical expenses. We are not responsible for complications arising from pre-existing conditions that were not disclosed to us.
Emergency Care Authorization
By using our services, you authorize Happy Companions to provide emergency medical treatment to your pet if deemed necessary by our veterinary staff. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before providing emergency care, but in life-threatening situations, we may proceed with treatment without prior authorization to preserve your pet's health and life.
You agree to be financially responsible for all emergency care provided to your pet. Emergency services may incur additional fees beyond standard service rates. We will provide you with a detailed explanation of emergency procedures performed and associated costs as soon as reasonably possible after treatment.
Behavioral Issues and Safety
You must inform us of any known aggressive behavior, anxiety issues, or other behavioral concerns your pet exhibits. We reserve the right to refuse service or require additional safety measures for pets that display aggressive or dangerous behavior. Additional handling fees may apply for pets requiring extra safety precautions or specialized care.
If your pet causes injury to our staff, other animals, or damage to our facility due to undisclosed behavioral issues, you may be held financially responsible for medical expenses, repairs, or other related costs. We may require behavioral assessments or training before continuing services for pets with known behavioral challenges.
Privacy and Data Protection
We collect and maintain records containing personal information about you and your pets, including contact details, medical histories, and service records. This information is used solely for providing quality care and maintaining accurate records. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as required by law or with your explicit consent.

Intellectual Property
